Configuring YNU-WiFi on Mobile Devices

Perform the following settings to connect to YNU-WiFi or eduroam on Mobile Devices.

Faculty/Staff Please use SSDI [YNU-STAFF-ONLY].

 

Please enter your YNU login ID and password.

 * When connecting to eduroam, please add "@ynu.ac.jp" to the ID. (Example: b1012345@ynu.ac.jp)

Android

On Android, in addition to entering the YNU login ID and password, you may need to configure the EAP method [PEAP] and the CA certificate [Don't validate].

The setting screen may differ depending on the Android version. The image is Android 10.


Devices needed the CA certificate
You must download and install the CA certificate.

If there are other setting items
[Phase 2 certification]

First choice: “Don’t use”, “Don’t choose” (* Not unselected)
Second candidate: “MSCHAPV2”

[Provider or Domain] “ynu.ac.jp”

 

iPhone

On MacOS and iOS devices, you can connect with your YNU Login ID and password.  If a CA certificate window appears, select [ Trust ].


If the connection fails, try to delete the network settings.
