Notice of suspension of university network and various service systems

Due to the university-wide power outage from August 29th(Sat) to 30th (Sun), 2020, and maintenance work on September 4th (Fri), the university network and various service systems will be suspended according to the following schedule.

1.) 2020/8/28 (Fri) 18:00 --8/30 (Sun) 23:00 (53 hours)

  1. Wi-Fi service (eduroam)
    * Edroam cannot be used at off-campus facilities.
  2. GakuNin Service

 

2.) 2020/8/28 (Fri) 22:00 --8/30 (Sun) 23:00 (49 hours)

  1. University Network (Network System)
  2. Various service systems except the following 5 systems
    • YNU mail
    • Learning Management System (LMS)
    • Mailing list service
    • YNU Official Web Site
    • Part of YNU Web Site

 

3.) 2020/8/30 (Sun) 18:30 --20:00 (90 minutes)
All websites hosted by the Information Infrastructure Center
(Including the official website of Yokohama National University)

 

4.) 2020/9/4 (Fri) 18:00 --22:00 (4 hours)

  1. LMS
  2. Mailing list service
  3. On-campus <==> Off-campus network communication (about 1 hour within the above time)

 

5.) 2020/9/4 (Fri) 18:00 --9/5 (Sat) 12:00 (18 hours)

  1. YNU Account Management System
  2. Password Changer Machine (for students)

 

[Note-1]

For web hosting service managers and contacts

In the maintenance work to be carried out from 18:30 to 20:00 on Sunday, August 30, 2020, PHP upgrade work will be carried out on the web hosting server side.

Current PHP 7.2 ==> Upgraded PHP 7.4

For this reason, please note that websites that currently use scripts specific to PHP 7.2 will not work with PHP 7.4.
