About proper management of Office 365 group (team) members

Due to the increasing number of users of Teams, one of the services of Office 365, each faculty member belongs to many Office 365 groups, but there are many groups whose members are not properly managed.

If the groups are not properly managed, the following inconveniences will occur, so the administrator of each group should perform appropriate management such as taking inventory of members on a regular basis.

Example)

  • Faculty members who retire and become emeritus professors will not be removed from the group called XX Faculty Faculty Association and will continue to receive event notification emails.
  • The staff who belonged to the team of the XX committee of Teams was transferred to another department due to personnel changes and was removed from the committee. However, it is not removed from the team members, so you can continue to view the team's committee information after the transfer.
