Fix problems with passwords or Multi-Factor Authentication(MFA)

The IT Service Center manages the following three types of passwords and Multi-Factor Authentication settings for YNU mail.

  • YNU login ID password
  • Matrix password, 4 images
  • YNU mail account password
  • Multi-Factor Authentication for YNU mail

When you forget your passwords・
When MFA dose not work

For students, please use the Password Changer (if you can come to campus).
For faculty/staff, please bring your ID (faculty/staff ID, driver's license, passport, etc.) to the office on the 2nd floor of the IT Service Center.

If the above is difficult, follow the steps below.

YNU Login ID password

Please request it with the Password Reset Form for YNU students. After our resetting at the ITSC, you will be notified to your YNU email address.

Typically, we reset within two business days. If you have not receive an email from the ITSC after more than two business days, please contact us again.

You must sign in with your YNU mail account.
If you do not know the password for your YNU email account or if you have trouble with your MFA, send email to .

Matrix password

You can reset your YNU mail password yourself from [Can’t access your account?] or [Forgot my password].
If you can’t reset yourself, send email to .

Students

Please fill in your name, student ID number, and date of birth, and contact us from “学生携帯アドレス Mobile Phone Email Address in Japan” (other than YNU Mail) registered in Educational Affairs Information System.

MFA

When you use a new devices for MFA, you need to add it to security verification previously.

If you have problems with your verification method, request to initialize your MFA.

When you want to change passwords or MFA

YNU login ID password

Log in to YNU Account Management System and click “Change Password”.

Matrix password

Log in to Matrix-authenticated connection service and click “Change Matrix password”.

YNU mail account password

Sign in to YNU mail and click [Icon] on the upper right> [View Account]> [Password(Change Password)] .

Add or change the authentication method

Sing in to YNU mail and click [Icon] on the upper right> [View Account]> [Security Info (Update Info)] (* Authentication required).
